Story of the book
Tate Collins, a nursing student has shifted to his brother Corbin’s house in San Francisco to pursue her career. Here, Tate meets with his brother’s friend Miles, an airline pilot. Tate is very much focused on her studies and tries to recede all the distractions. On the other hand, Miles is firm to be abstained from all emotional attachments due to his terrible past.
They feel attracted to each other and come close many times. But they deny this attraction and agree to avoid emotional attachment. Miles has two rules for Tate- ‘Never ask about the past’ and ‘Don’t expect a future’. Gradually their feelings intensified. Tate develops strong feelings for Miles and she confesses this to Miles. But he ignores and reproofs her extremely as he thinks that he doesn’t deserve love and affection. Tate has to go through a tremendous mental imbalance. This makes the love’.
One day, incidentally Miles shares his grotesque past with Tate. Tate realizes his acute pain and tries to heal his distressed mind. They acknowledge their profound love towards each other and decide to start a new journey of relationship.
